Brookline High School, Public Schools of Brookline

 

The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a collaborative, creative, and highly organized educator and performing arts professional to serve in a combined 0.9 FTE position consisting of a 0.5 FTE Production Stagecraft & Design Teacher and a 0.4 FTE Performing Arts Technical Director & Educator at Brookline High School.

 

This position includes teaching courses in stagecraft and theatrical design while also helping run, coordinate, and support technical and production needs across Brookline High School's Drama, Music, and Dance programs. A key component of this role is working directly with students in production settings, teaching and mentoring them in lighting, sound, stagecraft, and other technical theater skills through hands-on participation in performances throughout the school year. We are seeking a passionate educator and performing arts professional who is committed to providing high-quality instruction, fostering student creativity and leadership, and supporting a vibrant performing arts community that serves nearly 1,000 students annually.

Position Responsibilities

The Performing Arts Tech Educator supports the technical, production, and operational needs of the Brookline High School Performing Arts Department while helping students develop technical theater and production skills.
