The Summer School Director runs the Brookline Summer School, a six-week program at Brookline High School. This position involves knowledge of the high school course catalogue and academic programming at BHS, strong leadership ability in hiring and working with the summer teaching and secretarial staff, and experience in budgeting and running a large school program. Use of X2, TalentEd, BPS website maintenance, and Vermont Systems data entry system are necessary. The position involves work from February through the end of summer school in August.

Daily responsibilities include day-to-day supervision of student progress, behavior and attendance, supporting the teaching and secretarial staff in their work, organizing the student aides, oversight of the program budget and work at the end of the summer to organize the August Graduation, clean-up of outstanding issues and work to organize for the next year.

The Summer School Director reports to the Assistant Headmaster and Headmaster for program implementation. The Director reports for operational and financial review to the Deputy Superintendent for Finance.
