The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking to hire candidates who are qualified to work as a Paraprofessional in a summer program for students in grades 3-8.

Primary job responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher during daily learning activities and supporting students to successfully access and participate in all classroom activities. Paraprofessionals will also be able to work with small groups of students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

The summer program begins on Monday, July 29, 2024 and concludes on Friday, August 16, 2024. Paraprofessionals are expected to work from 7:45am to 1:15pm Monday through Friday except on days of the program when hours may be extended for project-based learning activities.

It is important for Paraprofessionals to be dependable as daily attendance is critical to providing consistent support for our students during this intensive summer program.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, patient, work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, be respectful of the diversity among students, and possess an enthusiasm for working with our young scholars.
