POSITION OVERVIEW
In conjunction with the classroom teacher, the RISE/ALC paraprofessional supports students with developmentally complex learning needs to maintain academic and adaptive skills over the summer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitate student learning under direction of the classroom teacher
- Support student engagement in activities
- Provide direct instruction as planned by the classroom teacher
- Support social interactions
- Assist with coordination and preparation of materials
- Documentation of skills and/or behaviors as directed by the classroom teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with complex learning profiles highly preferred
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment required
SCHEDULE:
- July 6, 2026 - August 13, 2026
- 9:00 - 2:00, Monday - Thursday
- Additional day of training prior to start of program
- Additional 15 minutes per day for planning and developing materials with classroom teacher
